VENTURE Credit Union is committed to serving the communities in which we operate through financial support to deserving groups and individuals. Annually, our Credit Union provides funding to various groups and individuals to support social, education, environmental and other activities. This forms part of VENTURE Credit Union’s Board of Directors and Executive Management’s philosophy and commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
We are pleased to share some of the sponsorship and contributions of our Corporate Social Responsibility Committee for the year so far.
THE ESME RAPHAEL BURSARY

In a demonstration of this commitment to corporate social responsibility, VENTURE Credit Union awarded the ESME RAPHAEL bursary to support the education endeavours of Ms. Alayna Mangroo. Ms. Mangroo received a generous sum of seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7500.00) towards her school tuition.
This is an annual bursary given to a final-year student in Management Studies and was established in 1998/1999 in recognition of the volunteer service to the Credit Union Movement by Miss Esmé Raphael.
The bursary ceremony took place at the Arouca Branch, with the conference room serving as the backdrop for this meaningful event. Ms. Esmé Raphael, the Board Secretary of VENTURE Credit Union, had the honor of presenting the cheque to Alayna Mangroo, symbolizing the credit union's dedication to empowering individuals through education. This initiative not only reflects VENTURE Credit Union's community-focused approach but also highlights the positive impact that corporate social responsibility can have on the lives of those it supports.
