Credit Union Month Recap 2024
Credit Union Month is a special time for credit unions. This October, VENTURE Credit Union took the opportunity to reflect, celebrate and honour the credit union movement, as well as the hard work and dedication of our members, emphasising the power of co-operation in building financial success
The theme for Credit Union Month 2024, “One World Through Cooperative Finance” which highlighted the tremendous work credit unions do to support and empower their members.
Under the sub-theme of Educate, Participate, Celebrate – VENTURE Credit Union hosted activities, webinars and special events to celebrate Credit Union Month. Members were educated through an informative webinar on managing the finances of their small businesses, they celebrated Credit Union Day with their branches and VCU staff and participated in two days of commerce and community at our Members’ Markets.
On October 17th, we celebrated Credit Union Day with a lively atmosphere at our branches. Members enjoyed engaging games and many tried their luck to win exciting prizes and special tokens. The day’s activities were an excellent way to connect with our members and show appreciation for their continued support to VENTURE Credit Union.
VENTURE Credit Union hosted two Members’ Markets, one at our Arouca Branch on October 26th and the second at our Couva Branch on November 2nd. Members were invited to participate in our Members’ Market where entrepreneurs within our Credit Union Community had the opportunity to display their goods and services for sale. Over 40 vendors participated, offering products such as jewellery, beauty products, home goods, clothing, plants, fresh juices and delicious desserts.
Credit Union Month provided a valuable opportunity for VENTURE Credit Union to engage with our members, empower their financial success and support their dreams. We are proud of the positive impact our credit union has on our membership and we remain committed to offering events and activities that align with the theme for Credit Union Month – “One World Through Co-Operative Finance”.
