In the early days of Credit Unions, each Credit Union focused its core membership on a specific group of people such as a group of employees or the members of a professional or religious group or people in a geographic area. VENTURE Credit Union started off as FEDCHEM which was a fertilizer plant in the Point Lisas Industrial Estate so FEDCHEM was the sole host company.
However, Credit Unions had to change to remain competitive. Today, VENTURE has a number of host companies where membership is sourced from. Although, the majority of our host companies are on the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, we have expanded to serve members from various companies as shown in the list of host companies below. Each host company has a liaison officer who is the mediator between VENTURE and members of a particular company.
In a nutshell, a host company is a company that provides membership for VENTURE and facilitates interaction between VENTURE and our members employed with that company. VENTURE‘s list of host companies include:
